What a way to kick off Newport Polo’s 150th anniversary season! Bright blue skies, cotton-candy clouds, and comfortable summer air welcomed fans back to the Newport Polo grounds for the 2026 Summer Series opener, USA vs Mongolia. The day felt especially exciting as Newport Polo celebrated the newly expanded TD Pavilion with a ribbon cutting, marking a fresh chapter for one of the field’s most beloved gathering spaces. Making their first-ever appearance at Newport Polo, Team Mongolia brought incredible energy to the field and won a thrilling match against Team USA, 9–8. In honor of Mongolia, Best In Show participants embraced the “Silk Road Boho” theme with layered textures, worldly details, bold patterns, and beautifully styled spaces. From long-time patrons to first-time polo fans, the afternoon had all the makings of a season opener to remember - fresh views, fierce play, fabulous tailgates, and plenty of #pictureperfect moments.
