Dear gentle reader, all eyes were on the field as Newport Polo delivered a Labor Day weekend match worthy of its own society column. This is our favorite stretch of summer polo - when the breeze feels cooler, the style gets sharper, and the 4 PM matches begin to feel just right. In honor of Team England, the “Bridgerton Bouquets” Best In Show theme filled the field with florals, teacups, delicate lace white umbrellas, and charming English-inspired tailgates. The match delivered plenty of excitement as Team USA battled Team England and claimed an 11 - 8 victory. With this win, Team USA celebrated its third consecutive victory, keeping the crowd cheering through the final chukker. From the Bridgerton-inspired details to the spirited play on the field, it was a #pictureperfect start to September polo.
