NFR’s 2026 Roam Around Rough Point

After weeks of summer heat, Rough Point served up the best kind of Newport relief: ocean views and a coastal breeze. Newport Restoration Foundation’s annual Roam Around Rough Point welcomed families and friends to explore the sweeping grounds of Doris Duke’s iconic seaside mansion at no cost to the community. Guests enjoyed delicious bites and drinks from the food trucks, lively music, and the stunning coastal views that make Rough Point such a beloved Newport treasure. In the Formal Garden, Charter Books added a sweet surprise with StoryTime and an author signing for guests to enjoy. From windswept smiles to #pictureperfect moments by the sea, it was a beautiful day to roam, gather, and celebrate Rough Point.
