The Fourth of July weekend came in hot - literally - and Newport Polo celebrated in true red, white, and blue style! With bright blue skies and blazing summer heat, the match began one hour later than usual to help protect the horses, players, and crew during the heat wave. Guests embraced the “Stars, Stripes, and Seersucker” Best In Show theme with patriotic flair, classic summer style, and plenty of red, white, and blue throughout the field. The opening ceremony brought a meaningful start to the afternoon, featuring the March-in of the Color Guard, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and live performances of the National Anthem. In honor of the holiday weekend, all active military personnel received free admission to the match. From the spirited ceremony to the sun-soaked sidelines, the day was full of tradition, gratitude, and #pictureperfect moments.
