The Diamond Jubilee Challenge Cup - also known as the Governor’s Cup - brought beauty, breeze, and plenty of suspense to Newport Polo. Warm summer air, fluffy clouds, and a lively crowd set the scene as Sandy Point Stables faced three-time champions Avery Polo in a match that kept everyone guessing until the very end. Sponsored by Barbados Tourism and Foxwoods Casino, the day was full of color, style, and high-energy competition from the first chukker to the final play. The “AmericanDecades” Best In Show theme brought iconic U.S.-inspired fashion from the Cabanas to the tailgates, with guests celebrating classic looks from eras past. After a close battle, Avery Polo claimed its fourth straight victory, with Governor McKee presenting the trophy in true Governor’s Cup fashion. From the beautiful weather to the championship excitement, the day was full of #pictureperfect moments.
